I have a copy of John and Amanda's marriage certificate. They were married on Sat. Nov. 27, 1858 in New Jersey by Wm. Pike, Pastor of Canton Baptist Church. It also says that Jhon Shimp was from Quintons Bridge and Amanda Kline was from Harmersville.

[interesting note: Sarah's maiden name was Shimp but it is thought that she was not of close relation. Eventually I hope to find where her line crosses Samuel Kline's.
UPDATE: I have traced Sarah's line back to where it meets Samuel's. Sarah's line goes back to Philip II (born 1735) who was the brother of Johannes! I believe Johannes and Philip were close as they lived in the same area and were godparents for each others children and grandchildren. I will post all that I have found on Sarah's family soon.]
